TWO.

This little guy is a stinker (literally sometimes. lol) I decided on a quick 2 year photo shoot while in Branson. The weather was beautiful and the scenery was amazing. So peaceful and quiet...with the exception of a screaming toddler who didn't want his picture taken. I thought, 'oh, I'll just give up' but i kept following him to see where he would go. I grabbed several shots and thought i got nothing. AND we came home and i looked through them and just smiled. Total cuteness and a little of his personality :) Can't believe my man is two!

We started out a bit hesitant-see the look?

Soon daddy was jumping up and down behind me and we got a grin...

AND then daddy started pretending to hurt me (i know i know) and he thought that was the best thing ever. Boys will be boys.

When i look at Cai i see so much of Marin in his expressions....

He tried to run away, but i caught him...

AND then we had to have a timeout. He decided he was done.

SO, we tried again and took a little walk...

In this picture he is saying 'hey!' (aka-stop looking at me!)

Then he found a stick and tried to hit me with it... (whose is this kind anyways!)

Then we found rocks to through...

He sat for 2 seconds (literally)...

And found a 'tickle' flower (as we call them)...

AND finally his high light...a knocked down water hydrant.

After this cute picture, we told him we were done and he threw a fit. Go figure.

Gotta love this guy!

Haircut.

My baby is not a baby anymore. He got his first haircut and now he looks like a big boy! Funny how a little haircut changes things. I won't deny, i got a little teary eyed when daddy started cutting. I loved his messy hair, but it was getting a little crazy. Too much food and sweat got stuck in there. He did SO great. So quiet for the first half. Then he got a little cranky...a little tired of sitting there. Then he was rewarded with a sucker and all was well...cheese face and all :)

Experiment.

Ava has been attending a library program this year for older kids. This year's theme is science. This past Wednesday they helped them with many science experiments and then sent them home with their own flask. This one was pretty easy...1 tsp baking soda...1 tsp of red jello...1/4 cup of vinegar.

A project wouldn't be complete without a crazy scientist...

First add the tsp of jello and baking soda into the flask..

Slowly pour in 1/4 cup of vinegar (or more)...

Then watch the volcano erupt!

And then do it all over again :)

Super EASY experiment, and we killed a half hour (they couldn't tell me they were bored)...

Where was Cai?  Sitting right there on a chair...watching. FOR an entire 30 minutes he sat still. A new record for him.

Doesn't he look so grown up with his new haircut?!

Marin had a turn too....

Yay for entertained children! ;)

Summer Fun.

This summer is flying by. We've been a little busy. I knew moving would be work, but when i think about the last few months i think i'd say 'never again!'. lol. It couldn't be that we have 3 kids...one that helps-grudgingly, one that never stops talking and asking for things and one that escapes whenever he can, can it? Phew! BUT now we are settled...a few projects yet (we still don't have baseboard and outlet covers-hence the no 'after' pics yet), but i know those things will get done in time. So this post is pictures of our summer so far, including smores, family time, lego camp, Ava's first 3 days camp in Kansas City, last pictures with friends, an empty house, swing rides, watermelon faces, new kittens, slip and slides, rides on the mower, helping daddy, watching so much rain, and lemonade stands.
