Jamaica

Jamaica is one of those places we were told 'not' to walk around in and explore, so we booked an excursion this day to play with dolphins (sorry-no pics...we would have had to buy them...boo!)and climb Dunns Falls. Let me just say right now Dunns Falls did not look quite so scary on the YouTube video. lol.

As our ship pulled into port we saw this guy on his tiny little canoe scuba diving and looking for fish. Fun to see!

Such a small island. You can drive across it in a little under 2 hours.

Our boat pulled up right next to the island...literally.

There was a quaint very 'touristy' area with shops and gifts, etc...some amazing talent!

Waiting to head out on a small bus for a brief tour...then dolphins and dunns falls! Driving through Jamaica I now know why they say its not a place to just venture out in without a guide. Definitely run down and poor. I heard the government taxes them so heavily to leave the island, which is why most Jamaicans can't afford to travel.

Dolphin Cove...look at the blue blue clear water! We were able to get in the water with the dolphins and touch/talk to him. IT was so fun (but only lasted 10 minutes).

We watched tourists get in the water and feed sharks. no thank you.
This one was for Marin... :)

Like our hats? One thing we had to learn was to say 'no' when people tried to pull us in and sell us stuff. Did we buy the hats...nope...BUT we did give a donation for the 'free' bracelets he wrapped around us (literally-we couldn't stop him-i walked out with two bracelets on my wrist and ankles). We got a good pics out of it though...priceless!

We went into a bird cage with some super friendly birds. Apparently they liked me so much they peed. Gross.

ewwww.....

Ever had a parrot sit on your shoulder. Just a tad bit intimidating. Their claws are ginormous!

Here we are at Dunn's Falls. I wish i would have taken a picture of it from the bottom. So beautiful and just a tad bit intimidating. Basically you have a team/group of people you link arms with and make your way towards the top of a very very tall Waterfall. Quite the challenge, but we did it! Looks it up on youtube-so cool!

By the end of this day we were tired. Next up? Grand Cayman.
